About Us
Marin Medical Equipment Recyclers is a locally run volunteer non-profit based in San Rafael. We accept donations of clean, useable medical equipment and supplies and give them to individuals in our community who need them. We are committed to reducing needless environmental waste while increasing access to medical equipment and supplies that provide safety, mobility, and independence. All items are made available on a first come first serve basis. Volunteers are available to help you with your needs. Pick up or delivery is not
available. When you receive an item you will be asked to fill out and sign a Liability Release.
What We Accept
Equipment: We accept clean and functional items in good condition that can fit into a small storage unit such as:
Wheel Chairs
Companion Chairs
Three & Four wheel walkers
Transfer Benches
Shower Chairs
Toilet risers
Small folding orthopedic supports
Blood Pressure Machines
C-Pap machines (usually)
O2 concentrators
Canes
Crutches
Walkers
Grabbers
Commodes are accepted only when space is available.
Supplies: We accept unopened packages of diapers, panty pads, bed pads, latex and vinyl gloves, moist wipes, etc.
What We Do Not Accept
We cannot accept large items such as hospital beds, Hoyer lifts, lift chairs, motorized wheelchairs and scooters, at our site in San Rafael.
We Do Not Accept:
Liquids of any kind
Broken or rusty items
Packaged supplies that have been open
Sterile packaged goods - dressings, etc.
Foam items
Walking Boots
Large orthopedic braces
Ostomy supplies
O2 tanks
Hospital gowns, pillows, sheets, blankets
Mattresses
Beds, lifts, standers, treadmills bicyclers
Electric wheelchairs or Lift chairs
Exercise equipment, weights
Non-medical equipment or supplies
